Born in Buenos Aires, Mario Romano grew up in a music-loving Italian family while playing the accordion. His family then moved to Canada, where he quickly caught the attention of many prominent jazz musicians. This is also when he switched to the piano as his main instrument, and continued to display his musical gifts as a performer and improviser. His focus then turned to business and land development for over 3 decades before he would return to the piano. Now, in the last 5 years, Mario has been turning people's heads with a number of recent albums that showcase his jazz improvisation, original compositions, and arrangements.
