Born and raised in Abuja, Nigeria, Jumiee throws down the gauntlet when it comes to her genre in music, from rnb to dancehall to soul, she finds a way to intertwine her sound and lyricism to suit the mood and message that she passes across in each record. Raised by a single mother who sang in the choir in her early days, Jumiee had all the support she needed to fuel her music, learning songwriting from her elder brother and playing the guitar for some time, helped build her musical stance at an early age, which also exposed her to a wide range of musical options, preference and tastes. "sharing my life experience, whether it's love, sadness, the struggles of life and working towards a career in music, I find comfort in telling my stories bluntly, yet concealed because that resonates with my personality alot. Jumiee says her audience were her family and friends which gave confidence to go to a studio and hit the record button, ever since, she hasn't relent or taken a step back in her musical career. In 2019, Jumiee released "Kingsugar" which was later redropped in 2021 for better quality-sake, and there after in 2022 an Extended play(EP) was released titled "Recovery" containing 3 powerful songs, followed by a two-pack single titled "Chaotic star", making a lot of wave across the nation especially in the city of Abuja, Nigeria.
