Biography

You would be hard pressed to discover an artist as empathetic, courageous and cosmopolitan as Israeli-born Lukah. The 26-year-old singer, instrumentalist and songwriter from Tel Aviv has used her personal struggles and family tragedy to fuel messages of empowerment in both song and everyday life. She pushes a world of sexy pop into a darker direction, branding her edgy personality through her music by combining deep messages with contrasting compositions.
With the release of her debut single, “Roller Coaster,” Lukah is encouraging listeners to toss aside the mindset that everybody has to follow a standard road in life and instead have the courage to create their own path. “A lot of people in my country mindlessly accept this typical journey that goes from high school to being in the army and then going on their big trip before finally attending university,” she explains. “The song is about how we have the independence to pursue other roads and do things outside what many would consider normal. If you’re on this roller coaster with me trying to figure out yourself, you’d better enjoy the ride.”
Lukah co-wrote Israel's song Home for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
The production of both 'Roller Coaster' and 'Scared Boy' was overseen by the ACUM-winning producer, Ido Ohayon at his studio in Tel Aviv. Ohayon’s work with artists in Israel has yielded five Gold certifications, and he has collaborated with every major record label in Lukah’s country.
