Inspired by her little travels around the world, Marla processes fleeting love with delicate, country-tinged fingerpicking on her guitar. Her melancholic and dreamy melodies, which she accompanies with her husky, deep voice, make you feel nostalgic. Armed with her acoustic guitar and the love for folk music, Marla toured half of Europe and the vastness of Canada since the age of 20, where she met her future duo partner David Celia while producing her first album “Madawaska Valley”. Together they have released two albums and played over 1000 shows in the last 7 years, touring in Europe, North America & Russia. They have played festivals such as Glastonbury & Mariposa and impressed large audiences supporting Kiefer Sutherland for two tours. Her songs, classic and simple, get under your skin in a way you wouldn't have expected at first. The mix of her surprisingly honest self-reflection and yet such positive attitude makes it difficult to attribute the tears to laughter or tears in the end. With her first single “In The Wind” she quickly had over 1 million plays on Spotify. Marla has been living in Berlin since 2023 and is slowly working on a new solo record.
