Biography

Born in 1977, this Dutch artist is a very productive producer and soundtrack composer, whenever he is not working in his own studio he travels to different studios to record music. On a daily base Minco is a film composer and over the last ten years, he has created the music for Jaap van Heusden’s films, many of them have received international prices. Over the last few years Minco has been creating soundtracks to international films and docs mostly. From Sweden to the USA and from Georgia to the U.K. but with a sweet tooth for films from the East. Some of them are the Georgian film ‘Drawing Lots’ by the late Zaza Khalvashi, the India drama film ‘Once Upon A Time In Calcutta’ by Aditya Vikram Sengupta, the American docs ‘Behind the Blood’ and ‘The Border Crossed Us’ (IDFA) by Loretta van der Horst. More recently Minco worked on ‘Happiness For All’ by Filip Remunda from Czech, ‘A Guide To Making Love’ by Helen Rollins from Ireland as well as 'The Man From Rome' by Jaap van Heusden that got Minco the golden calf award at the Film Festival of the Netherlands. Besides this and together with the helps of musicians like Svante Henryson, Audio Erlien, Oene van Geel, Iberi Choir and the Macedonian Radio Symphonic Orchestra, Minco has created his most successful album (KAVKASIA) so far. His last albums are those of the UNIFONY project (mixed by Phill Brown and mastered by Bob Ludwig), featuring Mathias Eick, Aaron Parks, Oskar Gudjonsson, Moya Brennan and Nils Petter Molvaer.
