Growing up in the small town of Darlington UK, Alex Bone lived two musical lives. The first revolved around playing instruments, starting with piano before he could walk and picking up the saxophone soon after. The other revolved around a love of dance music, buying his first Fatboy Slim album, collecting Ministry of Sound complications and producing his first beats on a Playstation game. As a teen, Alex pursued both avenues and rose to simultaneous acclaim as a saxophonist and a producer, winning the BBC Musician Jazz Award at just 17 years old whilst releasing his own house music online and remixing artists such as Kylie Minogue for Parlophone and Spinnin’ Records. This work led to collaborations with industry icons such as Nile Rodgers, Tom Misch and Cory Wong, as he continued to evolve and build his sound. Now based in Los Angeles, he's begun sharing where this journey has taken him. Combining all his skills to craft a unique brand of self-produced, feel-good electronic music, he’s posed for an exciting year. With a growing fanbase and support from tastemakers such as Disclosure, Jacob Collier and BBC Radio 1, the young artist is speaking to the next generation of music fans through his songs and viral social media videos.
