The formation of R&R may seem unusual, but that's where two musical backgrounds merge: Producer × DJ. These two had gone through several strong formative years surrounded by music, before they discovered their shared passion for deep tech & minimal. The Norwegian Ragnar (Sven), started producing at an early age and has been discovering multiple genres to work with like Psychedelic, Progressive and Electro. His musical career started as a drummer in a band and has led several Electronic Synth Pop and Funk bands as a lead singer and composer, always inspired by 70' groovy funk. The Dutch Raus (Mathias) is no stranger to the electronic scene, considering he has been an event organizer, promoter and DJ (under various aliases) in the techno scene since 2008. He played at ADE, In-Retraite Festival and Club Smederij to name a few. However, even though they have been friends for more than a decade, they never thought about joining musical forces. Their friendship started when they were still in their early 20s, and they started visiting the iconic Trouw (AMS) and all-nighters of Joseph Capriati in the legendary Doornroosje. It was clear that they both shared a love for rhythm, funk and electronic music. But it took them 15 years, after a few intense days of listening to Ben Rau, Phillipe LichBlau and Rossi, to discover the connection in 2021: Deep minimal (tech) house is the sound they want to pursue.
