Biography

Proudly born and raised in the deep south of Italy, Ayala’s story with music has a background of nearly 2 decades of continuous research and development in both the art of djing and musical production. In 2019, Ayala releases his first single on Carlos Mena’s Ocha Records, “Azteca”. Right after that comes the “Cosmic” EP on MoBlack, receiving massive support from the likes of Dave Lee, Hallex M, Ame, Cee Elassad and Yamil. The opening single “Journey” gets a remix treatment from Musumeci, while the string of releases on MoBlack continues with “Congo” and “Revancha”, with remixes from legends like Daniele Baldelli and Nickodemus. Ayala’s ethnic vibes spread in the world of underground music, reaching labels as Sol Selectas, Rebirth, Lump, Pieces Of Life, Loot and My Choice and remixers as Osunlade, Laroye, Ali Kuru. Moreover, Ayala is among the first artists involved in the new electronic music label focused on the spirit of latin culture: Orianna Music. “Cumbianca”, his first single on the new imprint, re-interprets in a modern key the Colombian vibes of Cumbia Creola. The follow-up song “O Mestre Canoeiro” marks the beginning of a collaboration with the Brazilian singer Abrao, while the last released single “Azul Del Cielo” dives deep into the fascinating sounds of Balearic Islands. In May 2022 Ayala will release his first vinyl LP “Views” on the UK label Batov Records: 7 tracks exploring the influence of African culture in music, from jazz to afrobeat, disco and funk.
