Atlanta Georgia rapper JWOP quickly developed a sound for music throughout the years, from uploading music on SoundCloud and Audio Mack in his high school years to now having one of the distinctive sounds out. His lyrics often draw more personal details about his childhood traumas unlike the standard trap fare, he delivers them over a heartfelt melodic beats with sensitive guitar sounds on projects like 2020s mixtape BABY WOP which is featured on AudioMack 
 JWOP(known as Wugga) was born Josiah Thomas. He moved around a lot due to his late father being in the military. JWOP grew up in Fayetteville, North Carolina but relocated to Atlanta at a young age when he began taking music more seriously in 2017. After posting many projects & snippets online, he released the Slatt Talk EP, a collection that opened his unique sound as we see his style more than solidified. By this point JWOP had generated enough buzz throughout not only his music but his large social media following to attract the attention of A&R’s at UnitedMasters, 1017 Records etc. He signed with UM and released his first album in 2021 titled SOPHOMORE, which features his hit single with 1017s Artist K 𝑺𝒉𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚 he would then follow up with a deluxe in early July.
