Toyin Adekale, singer/songwriter/actress & now author, born in London to West African parents, had a successful career in music traveling all over the world performing for Royalty, Presidents & Prime Ministers & dignitaries. Her platform varied as her life from clubs, theaters, stadiums, Palaces & State buildings such as the Houses of Parliament in London, St James Palace, to the Kremlin in Russia. Amongst her many highlights, singing the National Anthem for Nigeria’s Eagles. Other cherished moments, a brief encounter with legend/inspiration, Diana Ross & interviewing the late great Bob Marley’s mother, Cedellar Booker. Sung with most reggae greats from Dennis Brown, Delroy Wilson, Beres Hammond, Ken Boothe, Freddie McGregor, Sanchez and Gregory Isaacs, her gifts were sought by other genre’s where she became vocal coordinator/arranger & backing vocalist to Soul II Soul, Imagination, Cliff Richard, Maxi Priest, Carmel, Dave Stuart (Eurythmics), Gabrielle & sharing the stage with many great names. Toyin was the 4th member of world renowned Boney M (ft Maizie Williams for 13 years). Toyin was drawn into theater by actor/director, Larrington Walker. Toyin penned her own play & her first book,“I Do, Do You?“ & “The Crystal City”. Toyin Is Founder/Director of the UK’s first reggae choir ‘Talithavoices. Toyin lost 21 year old son, in May 2018, & Mother to Corona in April 2020, As the pages unfold, inspirational stories are told as “The Journey Continues”.
