Ramone continues to put more light into Toronto’s ever growing unique sound, with a deep catalogue that goes all the way back to 2016, the R&B hit maker has even received love from fellow Toronto native, Tory Lanez and even had him feature on ‘I Know’ (2017), but the love doesn't just stretch there, with other features from Project Pat, Uncle Murda and even more recently Beenie Man on newest hit, ‘On My Way’ (June 2021). Ramone is increasingly becoming a more prominent figure in the Toronto music scene, achieving record high streaming figures independently, having mixtape BlackSheep chart #2 on iTunes Canada and even performing live at London’s Yam Carnival in 2021, his music is deeply inspired by the likes of Ms. Lauryn Hill, Usher and XO’s very own Belly and uses stories of women, travelling and God as his muse. “I’m real, I’m genuine, I’m not afraid to express my emotions in my music. I notice artists like to do trendy things or portray an image that is not them at all in real life. It’s funny because you notice it right away when you meet them in person. Music to me is about expression so that’s what I do. I don’t do this for money entirely. I do this because I love the art. If I can get rich off of expressing my art, then that’s a bonus.” Ramone has no plans of slowing down with all the momentum he built up over the years and has plans for several releases in the coming months.
