Born in Florence to Italian and Venezuelan parents, Ricardo Baez has always been surrounded by music: on the one hand his father's collection of blues and jazz records and on the other the pop tapes from the eighties that his mother used as the soundtrack for dance classes . This great melting pot of genres gave Baez the ability to leave a significant mark on alternative culture in Italy. In 2010, Baez founded "Tropical Animals", the weekly party in Florence which has contributed to the evolution of Italian club culture for another decade. This reputation and his eclectic style have therefore led him to tread the consoles of many clubs around the world, including Tresor, Watergate, XOYO, Corsica Studios, Renate, House of Yes, Slippers, Le Bain, Robert Johnson and many others. 2023 sees him as one of the protagonist with 3 important releases on influential labels such as Mule Musiq, Permanent Vacation and Bordello a Parigi. Ricardo Baez is an accomplished tastemaker dedicated to the community, to the Italian scene and to the melting pot of creativity that only clubbing can offer. All this is clearly audible from the energy and care he puts into each of his DJ sets.
