Ty Dortone is a producer and songwriter known professionally as TYSHii, the name of a project which started in late 2017 as a vocal-free future house concept, years after his first musical experiments, a series of middle school FL Studio-produced SoundCloud remixes around 2011. Over the years, TYSHii would start recording with friends of his, budding pioneers of the hip-hop and indie pop scenes, producing music with them, and finally writing and recording his own vocals for his own tracks. Across his almost 20 self-written, recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered tracks — with over 3 million Spotify streams between them — TYSHii’s sonic identity leans firmly towards the worlds of indie pop and electronic dance. Yet, influenced by a diverse range of artists from Avicii and Linkin Park to Eminem and xxxtentacion, and drawing on his experience as a credited producer on over 100 already-released tracks, he’s developed a unique flair which has gained cult status amongst his diverse fanbase. Now, with his first sold-out show under his belt, TYSHii has hit the trifecta of studio excellence, live production value, and a growing audience both in real life and in the world of streaming, and plans to keep the momentum going over the months to come. With his first full-length album currently in the works as well as a slew of live shows and plans to ease into the touring lifestyle as his community expands, TYSHii is well on his way to becoming a force to be reckoned with.
