Enzo Carniel is a French pianist born in 1987. He began studying classical piano and discovered jazz during adolescence. After five years of medical studies, he decided to devote himself entirely to Jazz music. He joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP) in 2010. In June 2015, he won the CNSMDP first prize and the “generative improvisation prize”. His research and all his collaborations give rise to the quartet "House of Echo" where long improvised pieces and compositions are mixed. Influenced by Paul Bley, Thelonious Monk, Keith Jarrett, and the great jazz pianists, he tries to explore the palettes and intrinsic possibilities of the piano. His approach is based on the birth in the present moment of musical ideas, in non-aesthetic judgment, a "raw" approach to improvisation using all his influences and sensations. In 2015, in collaboration with the NoMadMusic label, he released his first solo piano record called "Erosions". In September 2017, the second album of his quartet House of Echo, Echoïdes, is released on the French Label Jazz&People. The record is acclaimed by the press and the media. The group is touring all around the world during the year 2019 (New York, Montreal, Budapest, Berlin, France...etc). The third album of House of Echo "WALLSDOWN" released during the lockdown in April 2020 was also a big success, among USA and all Europe. In 2021, "Aria" the duet with trombone player Filippo Vignato is released on label Menace
