Ghost Coast Choir presents a new musical expression rooted in the sound of the classical choir with current lyrics and ambient electronics created by Gustav Rasmussen & Thorben Seierø, both with backgrounds in indie-music/rock & experimental music. Ethereal vocals are manipulated by samples, guitar pedals and old tape machines in songs that revolve around the personal and the pain of losing. All without involving the higher powers. The harmonic beauty of voices creates the foundation of the music, contrasted by electronic manipulations and post-production that adds ambient soundscapes that bring Nils Frahm or William Basinski to mind. Combined with vital lyrics that deal with the life in the modern world the music spans beauty and rawness, the uplifting and the worldly to make it both timeless and current. Goast Coast Choir break with centuries of tradition taking the music into our present by deconstructing, manipulating and rebuilding a new sound consisting of classical choir, current personal lyrics and ambient tape-loops and effects pedals. They mix the ethereal and the earthly for a new expression in choral music they call post-classical indie-choir. Ghost Coast Choir's debut album is out on ExoPAC/Nordic Music Society.
