Daniel Hewson is an award-winning composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He has worked with such diverse artists as Stomp, Groove Armada, Madonna, Incognito, the Oxford Chamber Orchestra, and the Allegri String Quartet. He is the son of composer Richard Hewson (arranger for The Beatles, Carly Simon, Diana Ross, Cliff Richard, to name but a few). He has worked with Groove Armada, Nigel Kennedy, Omar, Incognito, Stomp and Madonna, performed at the BBC Proms and the Sydney Opera House, recorded at Abbey Road and broadcast on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM. His compositions appear on Universal Production Music and other independent labels. His music has been performed, broadcast and synched extensively for the Tomb Raider soundtrack (Paramount Pictures) and for film, TV, games and on the internet both nationally and worldwide. He arranges for strings, brass, big band and orchestra, records and performs piano, keyboards and trombone. remixes and produces. Past clients and collaborators include the RAH Band, Groove Armada, The Allegri Quartet, The Lost And Found Orchestra (Stomp), Kristine Blonde, Stacey Soloman, The Urban Soul Orchestra, Rui Veloso, Incognito, Omar and many others. Performance highlights include the BBC Proms, the Sydney Opera House, the Royal Festival Hall, Rock in Rio. He has conducted his arrangements at recording sessions in Abbey Road, and Angel Studios, as well as appearing on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune and Classic FM
