Music to My Ears

Biography

Based in Gauteng, South Africa, Masupa Tsela (which means Trend Setters) is an international music group made up of four emerging artists from Maputsoe in Lesotho and Free State in South Africa. The artists' names are Seutloadi Molotsana a.k.a. Koete Sekhukhuni, Mahase Sibane a.k.a. Msoko Lara, Qhobela Mokoenehi (stage name: Qhobela), and Thabo Khoboso a.k.a Pynkilla Mafodisa. The group was founded in 2020 by the artists' manager, Lebohang "Grand Masta" Zinda, with the view of exposing the artists' abilities outside of their main respective genres. To this effect, the group has immersed itself in the exploration of Amapiano, a music genre that originated in South Africa and that has taken the world by storm. Because of Masupa Tsela's deep cultural backgrounds and their ability to build this into modern musical expressions, the group's content is far more unique and intriguing. Their African roots and spirituality can be detected in every song they write. Since its formation the group has completed a substantial body of work and released their first single in January 2022 titled "Hamba". This was followed by smash hits titled "Welela" and "Lenong Phaqola". Since these releases Masupa Tsela have become a renowned ingredient in South African music scenery spicing up events and venues with their 'never heard before' vocal and lyrical styles.
