Since early 2000s, Pierre-Alexandre Busson, aka Yuksek, has never stopped experimenting, finally becoming one of the most important producers in electronic mu- sic scene. At once a DJ, world renowned for his energetic disco/house mixes, a prolific remixer (Gorillaz, Lana Del Rey, Breakbot, etc.), a producer, a label founder, a composer of film soundtracks, and radio host, Yuksek jumps between projects with an enthusiasm that betrays his deep love of music and his jack-of-all-trades approach. After his formative years spent in the wild rave scenes of the 90s, Yuksek has gone on to impose himself as one of the most brilliant inventive forces in the turbulent music scene in Reims, France (The Shoes, Brodinski), giving a new lease of life to the French Touch. Dance’O’Drome, Yuksek’s fifth album due spring 2023, expands the universe created with Nosso Ritmo. Carrying on his love affair with Brazil, playing with percussions, putting the finishing touch on a powerful dance mix combining flights of disco, explosions of punk-funk, and feverish italo-disco sounds, this homage to the filtered house label Roulé is full of malicious acid loops and nods to Metro Area or languidly Balearic beats. An album that echoes, through its eclecticism, the inspirations drawn from his radio program Dance’O’Drome at Nova Radio Station.
