About Daniel French: Daniel French is a musician, composer, & MC from Los Angeles. As a founding member of LA’s Las Cafeteras, French has performed on stages from Bonnaroo to the Hollywood Bowl, WOMAD to Montreal Jazz & beyond. Rocking shows with diverse acts like Michael Franti, Lila Downs, the Gypsy Kings, & Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeroes. Building on his band’s taste for blending old & new, French continues to experiment; blending acoustic & traditional sounds with modern frequencies. You can hear Daniel’s music featured in award-winning shows like Kamau Bell's United Shades of America, Party of Five (2020), Telemundo telenovela Bajo El Mismo Cielo, & even Bernie Sanders rallies. Most recently French composed the score for Powerlands, a feature length documentary now in the festival circuit. He also co-produced a suite for the Netflix thriller ‘Heart Shot’, with acclaimed composer Gingger Shankar set to release on February 17, 2022.
