Winner of the prestigious "Bach International Piano Competition" (Saarbrücken, Germany) in 2001, Gianluca Luisi is best known for his interpretations of J.S. Bach (J.S. Bach: Partitas Nos. 1-6, BWV 825-830, Bach: French Suites, BWV 812-817). Pupil of Franco Scala and, later, student at the piano Academy in Imola with Giovanni Valentini, Boris Petrushansky and Piero Rattalino. Very active as a concert artist, Mr. Luisi played, amongst other, at the Carnegie Hall and at the Musikverein. He is regularly invited to give concerts in Japan, China and Germany. He recorded CD's for labels such as OnClassical, Naxos, Grand Piano, Arts, MDG and Decca.
