Biography
As one of the Voight-Kampff collective’s founding fathers, Whitley's role within the collective has been responsible for the aid of launching VK, as well as his solo career, into much deeper territory than Glasgow soil. Having been raised within the Glasgow techno scene during the latter years of his teens, Whitley's electronic music interests began to expand. After honing in on rough, Birmingham-style tribal techno, his attention was quickly drawn to the old school sounds, which naturally led to many hours spent online, building up a collection of 90s techno, and eventually venturing into the realm of trance. Whitley's early production credits have received solid support for Voight-Kampff Records, as well as various compilation appearances for Ismus, Substantiv, Extra Energy, Mitsu 2000 and single releases on Grounded and AFFXWRKS.
