Lorraine Baron is a Vancouver Island Singer-Songwriter who writes, performs, and produces her own music. Country and Folk are her preferred genre; and, though new to the industry, she holds two recent awards for a German HipHop collaboration. Prior to being a musician, Dr. Lorraine Baron was a National Award recipient for the top teaching award in Canada. She earned the honour for teaching High School mathematics and calculus over several years, in five different British Columbia School districts. She also earned her Doctorate of Education from the University of Calgary before becoming a professor at UBC in the Okanagan, and then for a few years at the University of Hawaii, before returning home to Vancouver Island.
