LASKAAR Laskaar`s first release, a cover version of Röyksopp and Robyn's »Monument« thrust him into the international spotlight, which in itself is remarkable as the song featured only his voice. He was right away discovered by the renowned label [PIAS] Recordings and his debut EP "Never met you" was celebrated by international blogs like the Fader, Metal Magazine and Noisey just to name a few. The sultry & soulful voice of the singer with andalusian roots has a powerful softness that feels dark,comforting, hypnotizing & ethereal at the same time & after listening to some tracks you can tell that this is a highly sensitive & versatile Artist with a strong sound DNA that you cant put into 1 box. Clearly, Laskaar is not just another newcomer, but an exceptional talent with an impressive vision for his own art. After working on new music, touring for 1 year and being the opening act of artists like Tinie Tempah he was discovered by i-D Spain durng his concert & dj set in Madrid & released a single with a 360 degree video called that "Drunk" that featured the artwork by longtime Björk collaborator Andrew Thomas Huang. Inspired by the local music & art scene in Madrid he decided to spend the summer there to reconnect with his spanish roots and release his first spanish track called "Traición" wich is the first release from his upcoming 2. EP that is set to drop this fall.
