Biography

On the back of her first independently released studio album ‘Brazen Soul’, and her critically acclaimed latest single ‘What You Do to Me’, Kelello has built an impressive resumé of live performances including multiple invitations to perform with award-winning renowned artist Tsepo Tshola. The South African based artist also opened for Grammy nominated artist Nneenna Freelon at the 50th birthday celebration of King Letsie III of Lesotho. Kelello was born in Germany, then lived in the UK and South Africa. She embarked on her professional music journey in 2013 and went on to independently released ‘Brazen Soul’ under the moniker ‘MsKelle’ in 2015 . From 'Brazen Soul', the singles 'Mr. Mean’ and ‘Stories to Tell’, fast became fan favorites and 'Mr Mean' charted on the Kaya FM Top 40. Kelello performed ‘Start Over’ on South African television show Isidingo, and ‘Summer’s Gone’ and ‘First Time I Lied’ were licenced to the show. In 2019 Kelello embraced her given name, a re-branding that encouraged her to take more risks with the type of music she was writing. 'What You Do to Me' (produced by Kunle Ayo) was released and charted on KwaZulu Natal’s number one commercial radio station; Gagasi FM in 2019. The song received a great deal of radio play-listing and media coverage. Kelello’s new project; an urban contemporary pop album, reflects her diverse taste and eclectic sources of inspiration, and promises music lovers a moving and engaging body of work.
