I started making music to celebrate my love for obscure male synthpop acts of the 80’s like Depeche Mode and The Pet Shop Boys. I fell in love with PSB’s mundane but poetic lyricism, and the deep vocals of Depeche Mode. I wanted to see if I can bring their “essence” into modern pop and dance production. Bowie is a major influence too, vocally. He figured out how to use his unconventional voice to make pop music, and I thought that was so cool. But I’ve never really viewed myself as a singer. More of a poet, with a corporate mentality.
