Biography

Che Blaq found a love for song at age 4. He had his first official audience singing "You Are My Sunshine" on an afternoon bus ride with his mother. At age 7 Che's family moved to Austin, TX where he attended elementary school. This is when Che Blaq's love for music came into play. Che Blaq found solid footing when his 4th grade music teacher placed him as the lead soloist performing for Queen Elizabeth of Wales. Che sharpened his singing and songwriting abilities in a number of groups winning talent competitions and community festivals. After a short hiatus, Che & his high school best friend formed the local sensation "The ARq" in 2001. The duo released 5 studio albums performing in various national venues until their dissolution in early 2011. Since then, Che Blaq has released his solo debut EP entitled ''Fearless Deluxe" which has had 3 songs placed in the film "Politics of Love" starring Ruby Dee, Brian Michael White, & Loretta Devine. He has also worked with the likes of Big K.R.I.T., Jagged Edge, & Messy Marv. Che Blaq's mission is to bring his signature sound to the most popular and influential artists in the industry. With features on some of urban music's veterans and rising stars, Che Blaq's odyssey seems that of assent, affirmation, and ease.
