Biography

K-Rime is a rapper and hip-hop artist based in Queens, New York. Known for his classic underground hip-hop sound infused with East Coast flavor, and for his complex conscious lyricism that critically examines modern American socio- political issues, K-Rime is set to follow up his debut EP ‘Operation Menu’ (2019) with his next project, ‘Operation Mongoose’, releasing in 2020. Lead single ‘Our Time Now’ — featuring legendary MC Eiht — sees K-Rime shed a light on police brutality, unapologetically commenting on the racial injustices currently taking place across the U.S. Following ‘Operation Mongoose’, the political rapper is set to release a series of projects named after foul U.S. government missions. Brave, controversial, and armed with facts, K-Rime isn’t afraid to use his gift to say what’s on his mind — which sets him apart as one of the boldest emerging rappers in the game. Born and raised in Astoria, Queens, K-Rime grew up in a musical family, rapping from a young age. He credits his older cousin, R.O.C., a fellow rapper who was tragically shot and killed during a mugging as a teenager, as having inspired his rap career. As kids, K-Rime and his older brother, Ric Rude, belonged to a local rap group called Arabian Nights. Ric Rude eventually stopped rapping and started producing, making beats for established artists like Prodigy (Mobb Deep), Big Noyd, Capone-n-Norieaga, Tragedy, Funkmaster Flex and K-Rime himself.
