Nicki Richards is a dynamic American singer, songwriter, producer and actress based in New York City. Her influential music work over the years spans many genres and languages- pop, dance, jazz, rock, funk, blues and more. Richards has been wearing many hats in the music business- as a solo artist with several albums under her belt, as a producer and arranger and as an A-list touring, recording, television and performing vocalist, keyboardist and percussionist. Born in Hawaii and raised as a Navy Brat by a high-ranking military officer and a jazz singer, Richards attributes living all over the country and singing all over the world to her genre-crossing sound. She was signed as a teenager to Atlantic Records by the late great Ahmet Ertegun after winning Star Search, a competitive national television show, and since then has written and recorded several albums, all of which she produced and arranged.
