SNGC is a group of musicians from England and Ireland. They make off-centre pop music that moves between the bright lights of the dancefloor and the hazy intimacy of the smoking area. The forthcoming LP ‘The Distance’ is an ambitious progression from SNGC’s earlier EPs, which received daytime BBC R1 play and praise from Vice, Line of Best Fit, Mixmag, BBC Introducing, Stream, Philly Taggart, Huw Stevens. The Distance is the sound of four artists deep in the studio as their lives frayed and bound together. Classic electronic machines clad with piano and string textures form brickwork around the shapeshifting voices inside. Vulnerable confessions of grief and anxiety lean up against confident expressions of love.
