'In Huge Gesturing Loops' is a new ambient solo album by multi-instrumentalist Jim Wallis. Built around recordings by the acclaimed pedal steel player Henry Senior, the album's six hypnotic and enveloping tracks are supplemented with piano, strings, synths and field recordings performed by Wallis. 'In Huge Gesturing Loops' is his fourth release in as many years. His debut 'Europa' was the score for Rwandan director Kivu Ruhurahoza’s film of the same name and was followed by a remix album featuring Erland Cooper, Hinako Omori, Max Cooper, Vanishing Twin and William Doyle. In 2021 he released 'Pool', a collaboration with the painter and guitarist Nick Goss based on field recordings Goss made aboard a tanker on the Adriatic Sea while on an artist residency. The albums have won fans at BBC Radio 3 and 6 Music and clocked up over half a million streams along the way. As well as his solo work, Wallis is also a member of the acclaimed band Modern Nature and is the touring drummer for Still Corners, with whom he’s traveled the world from Mexico City to Moscow to Shanghai.
