Sigrid Haanshus (born December 9th, 2002) is a Norwegian singer-songwriter. She grew up on her family’s farm in a small village named Soknedal in the middle of Norway. At the age of nine, she did her first studio recording made available on YouTube, - while her first official record release came in March 2015. Later that year as a 12-year-old she had success in Norway’s Got Talent where she was awarded the Golden Buzzer and ended up in the final. In 2016 she performed Norway’s National Anthem "Ja vi elsker" a cappella in the opening of the Norwegian Football Cup final for women. Since then, Sigrid Haanshus has released more than 20 singles and a compilation album. In June 2022, - she was listed among artists such as Michael Jackson, Guns N' Roses and Tom Jones by the American website Covermesongs.com, for a place on “The 50 Best Paul McCartney Covers ever”, with her version of My Valentine. Sigrid currently releases her own music and writes both English and Norwegian lyrics, inspired of her own and other’s life experiences. She describes her style as folk-pop.
