Biography

Sreerama Chandra was born in Vizag into a Telugu speaking family. Despite a non-musical background, Sreerama Chandra had a passion for singing and started singing right in his school days. To hone his skills further he joined Sri Bhakta Ramadasa Music College, Marredpally, Secunderabad, and completed his five years of his Certificate course in Carnatic vocals. The performer in him pushed him to participate in various singing reality shows, and through which he got his first break as a playback singer for songs 'Nammalo Ledo' and 'Thidathara Kodathara' which were tracks for the critically acclaimed 2008 Telugu comedy film Ashta Chamma. This boost helped him to try his mettle at the National level. And with his sheer dedication and talent, he went on to win the 5th season of Indian Idol. 
 With this popularity, he managed to breakthrough in Bollywood and Yash Raj Films produced his first two songs from Mere Brother Ki Dulhan - "Madhubala" & "Ishq Risk", the Club Mix Version. His first blockbuster hit track arrived with Himesh Reshammiya's "Balma" for the movie Khiladi 786. Since then, Sreeram has not looked back and has continued to entertain his listeners. He has sung more than 500 hundred songs in 9 different languages. To name a few, Sreeram has chartbusters like Subhanallah (Yeh Jawani Hai Dewani) and Allah Duhai Hai (Race3) under his belt and he continues to lend his voice for Bollywood/Tollywood songs.
