“I’m very emotional, and I want people to hear that in every song” rapper Lil Otie has significantly impacted the underground in his short time making music. Otie wants you to know the vibe with each track you visit whether that be overly happy and excited or in a sadder more reflective mood. The artist looks to wear his heart on his sleeve in hopes to reach as many people as possible who can relate to the ups and downs of life. Born Raynathan Otis Smith in Monrovia, Liberia, moving here at the age of 12 as the countrys instability did not seem to have an end leaving his mom to move with dad , Otie first gravitated to Soccer as an outlet to adapt to American life. Through high school Otie found inspiration in music finding direction and sound from the likes of Playboi Carti, D Savage, Trippie Redd and other rising underground stars. He began making music post pandemic in 2022 and saw real success with the release of his single “Ova It” which was the first time he felt people really started to notice his talent. Otie has performed multiple shows across the country, bringing raw energy where ever he goes. His newest project “E for Everyone” looks to have something for every listener.
