STILHED (Silence) Meet Danish producer Thomas Haahr, the visionary behind Stilhed's ambient landscapes. Haahr has tinkered for years with analogue recording equipment in his home studio, honing his craft as an engineer and fledging producer. He has an ear for details, obsessing over frequency spectrum and tones. As he began collaborating with artists on recording projects, he eventually found himself sculpting ambient sounds for their projects, towing the line between engineer, sound designer and composer. The natural progression was to follow his own musical instincts, resulting in the birth of Stilhed in 2021. Starting with the 2021 EP 'Tundra,' a collaboration with pianist Jacob David, Thomas propelled Stilhed forward. Beyond singles and collaborations, 2022 saw multiple collaborative EPs. In 2023, Stilhed released 'Oeer', its first full album on Valley View Records, featuring contributions from a number of in demand artists in the ambient scene including 'Broken Peak', 'Be Still the Earth' and 'Norvik'. As we enter 2024, Stilhed has a full slate of music ahead later this year, including a brand new EP with Moderna Records + an EP with Ambient Soundscapes (August 23rd)
