Sitrekin is the new project of Kirstine Stubbe Teglbjærg, former founding member, lead singer and songwriter of acclaimed group Blue Foundation. She is the voice behind 'Eyes on Fire'- the US Grammy nominated and multi million streamed Twilight soundtrack hit song, which has achieved cult status world wide. Sitrekin’s debut single Open Chest went #1 on Danish National Radio P6 Beat and achieved international attention e.g. on KEXP. The prestigious Danish Arts Foundation has highlighted Sitrekin for her strongly personal and minimalistic electronic-indie productions, catchy melodies and luminous vocals. Sitrekin’s music was endorsed by sound gigant Dolby Labs to launch their new spatial audio format Dolby Atmos at press events in London (2021) and Copenhagen (2022). She is one of the first Danish artists to embrace spatial audio and is currently working on her forthcoming debut album. Sitrekin made her live debut with her band in October 2022 at a packed Hotel Cecil in Copenhagen and ended the year opening British alt-J’s arena concert in KB Hallen, in front of 4000 people. In ‘23 Sitrekin toured in Greenland for the Arctic Sounds Festival, performed at the SPOT Festival and in the grandiose ‘DR Koncertsalen’ in Copenhagen. In September ’23 she inaugurated VEGA’s brand new immersive sound system, playing the opening concert of their immersive concert series. Sitrekin is returning to Lille VEGA 02.02.24, where she will play a double concert with fellow Danish artist Yör.
