Born in Barrio San Judas Managua Nicaragua! Memo Neyra... Guillermo Juan Carlos Corea Son of artist Polidecto Correa, Memo built his catalog of music directly alongside his father's production and publishing companies Los Polimusic, SISA, Istmo. The real recording artist Memo Neyra... is often confused with Guillermo Enrique José Acuña Brenes a cover artists from Coasta Rica who would perform the real Memo Neyra songs without the need of a band because Polidecto would press his instrumentals for vinyl distribution, this made covering Memo's music very easy and till this day many fans are confused with this story. Polidecto and his family received life threatening messages from opposing government regimes basically not allowing Memo to perform. It is Rumored that an actually covering performing artist received a record deal from Sony Music unfortunately the deal never happened because Polidecto was the producer and writer to all of Memo's music and did not agree to sign over his rights to the cover artist. Because of his father's musical direction, Memo read and composed classical music; he also played the organ, flute, lead and bass guitar. Neyra is credited for putting together several bands including Bwana, Spirit, D.R. Hooker, Los Bad Boys, Los Sons, Los Clarks, Los Renos, Bwana his father also formed Los Ramblers and Memo Neyra... was a band member for some time.
