Some artists just breathe music all their lives. JR Kenna born 19-01-1995, coming from a musiclally gifted family, is such an artist. At the age of 10 he discovered his passion for rap, which changed into a passion for Reggae/Dancehall Music where he is at his best. During his development as an artist he added his love for Urban/Afro to his repertoire of musical genres, which makes JR Kenna a versatile artist. Mid 2014 he made his appearance into the scene and participated in the Benelux Reggae Contest, which took place in Belgium Antwerp. He ended second best. This has led to many performances in and outside the Netherlands, such as the big festivals: Zwarte Cross, ReggaeLake (Flames & Fire Stage), Vunzige Deuntjes and Amsterdam Reggae Festival. Where he shared the stage with renowned artists such as: Gentleman, Damian Marley, Kenny B, Maxi Priest, Turbulance, Micah Shemiah and twice as a support act for Jamaican hit artist Gyptian. JR Kenna launched his EP ‘’Gyallery’’ on 10 May 2019, on which his breakthrough hit song ‘’Bubble It’’ can be heard. Two years later, JR Kenna released his first album called ‘’Unbounded’’ with his second hit song ‘’If Not Today’’. The distinctive sound of JR Kenna appeared on a long list of collaborations with renowned artist releases like: Beenie Man, Kalibwoy, Maikel X, Fajah Lourens, ChildsPlay, Freddy Moreira, Sjaak, Team Rush Hour, DJ Chuckie and many more!
