Hailed as a breath of fresh air amongst the South African electronic music scene, LUKA (aka Brad Katzen) is an exciting up-and-coming bass music producer born and bred in Johannesburg, South Africa. After discovering software based music production at 12-years-old, LUKA became obsessed with music, teaching himself everything he knows, and eventually falling in love with the dubstep/ electro explosion. He then adopted the moniker LUKA and began producing his own filth-driven electronic music, exploring unconventional, progressive song structures that start in one place and evolve into something else entirely. From an edgy approach to his live performances LUKA, makes sure his music is carefully synced to mesmerizing, mind-bending visuals. His style is always evolving, with particular focus on taking the listener through a journey filled with cerebral, cinematic soundscapes that build into melodic, intense breakdowns.With a more upbeat style, dabbling in various genres, including Techno, Psytrance, and Electro- House, LUKA has had original tracks featured on mix-tapes by DJ NewEra, as well as releases through ClubTapes.com, Ragejunkie.com, and the acclaimed Psytrance station Babaganousha Radio. He was most recently featured on the international compilations ‘Joy of 6’, and ‘M1 x1’, spotlighting artists from around the world, released by Thomas Impostor Records.
