Benjamin Canyon has been a performing musician for over 15 years, playing guitar and singing in a variety of gypsy jazz ensembles. He first fell in love with Roma music in 2004 while living at The Fishtank, an artists’ warehouse in Oakland, California. Since then, he has dedicated his study to the music of Django Reinhardt and early American swing jazz. Benjamin has played guitar and sung on city streets and in jazz clubs across the globe, from Paris and Fez, to Berlin, Bangkok, and New Orleans. He loves collaborating with artists across genres, with a particular love for blending jazz with hip-hop and electronic music. Benjamin is also an entrepreneur with businesses in real estate, design, and strategy consulting.
