Biography

Kyana Fanene is a rising Pop/R&B, Hawaiian and Samoan artist born and raised in the Bay Area. She attended Oakland School for the Arts, where she became a member of Vocal Rush, a vocal ensemble that performed and placed 3rd on NBC's hit reality singing competition: The Sing Off. After receiving a presidential scholarship from Berklee College of Music, she pursued her arts education in Boston, where she acquired a degree in music therapy. Kyana’s involvement with the award winning vocal group “PitchSlapped” led to singing and speaking roles in a number of award winning feature films, such as “CODA” and “Daddy’s home 2”. She currently resides in Brooklyn, NY, hustling as a performing singer-songwriter, session musician, and actor. Kyana was raised on a steady diet of musical legends such as Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston and Brian McKnight. Her music is known for paying homage to these early influences while showcasing her love for modern pop. Kyana continues to seek a platform from which she can work to release original material while maintaining her passion for advancing LGBTQIA+ and polynesian culture representation within the arts.
