Michael Malcolm was raised in Waterloo, Ontario and found music to come naturally from a young age. After teaching himself to play the drums at the age of 9, learning how to play piano by ear would eventually become the gateway towards the start of his music production career at 14. As Michael grew older, he used music to escape from some of the harsher realities of his life, including losing his father. This passing led Michael to further concentrate his focus towards his true passion. 
 He sourced his primary inspiration from Avicii, the late Swedish producer, as an example of true musical talent shining through on a global stage from humble beginnings. Michael’s talent, nourished by his hard work and determination led to a successful four years at Western University, where he served as president of the guitar club, performed at many events, and won numerous talent shows.
