Artosha is a singer/songwriter from Cologne known for her fusion of hip hop, RnB and soul. She was influenced by the oriental music she used to hear growing up from her parents and western music she perceived from her sister listening to mtv and viva. Because of her roots and the history of her parents, her music often deals with topics like feminism, equality, sexuality and love. Artosha was born in Cologne, Germany in 1995. Her parents, political immigrants from Iran, raised her and her older sister in a household full of music and arts. Thus, she started singing and dancing from a very young age. Her first songs were in her native languages Farsi and Azeri (Iran & Azerbaijan), then she switched her songwriting to English. After graduation, she began studying acting at the Theatre Academy of Cologne while taking singing lessons and focusing on improving her voice. She became a member of the Schauspielhaus Cologne ensemble (the main theatre in Cologne) and had plenty of performances as both an actress and singer. At one of her shows, she met her first producer Alley J, who she is working with ever since. A year later, 2017, her first single (and music video) „At Least“ was released and from then on, she began focusing completely on her music. She performed on many different stages and music festivals and released many different songs. She built her own home studio where she works with her producers Alley J and Gxdwin and mixes and masters her music by herself.
