Seoul, Korea based trio band Mandong. Mandong make music that crosses the line between jazz, psychedelic, rock, indie, classic. Founded in 2019 by Seokyoung Haam(guitar) and Kyungsoo Seo(drums),after release their first album Man in a Hurry ,Namhyun Song(double bass) joined in 2021 summer. Each member gathered their hearts to create new music based on their various experiences in jazz, rock, noise and tango etc. The second record, BIG SUN released in 2022, including 8 songs, conveys Mandong`s unique language with perfection. MV of Sun Room, in collaboration with film director Syeyoung Park, shows the overall atmosphere and narrative of the album. EP album collaborated with youra , The Vibe is a Chance released in 2022 winter. The six tracks of the album prove the expansion of youra x Mandong 's musical realm. Single album Civilization (feat. Sukhoon Chang) released in 2023 spring. This album is exploring various genres with vocal featuring Sukhoon Chang, rapper and vocal, guitarist of ‘Hyodo & Bass’. Single album Pai, Moon, Everything released in 2023 autumn. This album shows Mandong's new sound in harmony with strings. The third full-length album The Bat is released in October 2023. In June 2024, the second collaborative single album with youra [The lion that became cheese ] was released. In Oct 2024, collaborative single album with Yeong Die [Standard Dinner Course] was released. Mandong means tight movement or dumpling club as well.
