Experimental pop duo Me Succeeds blurs the boundaries of house, hip hop and experimental music. Embraced by singer Mona Steinwidders tender, yet engaging voice, the musical arrangement of her male counterpart Lorin Strohm is made to float mantra-like by loops of live improvisation, YouTube clips and small smartphone sound snippets. Individual passages of text are repeated over several songs and, depending on the context, become statements that can be interpreted differently. A Me Succeeds live performance is always a dialogue that is conducted on stage it is never the same and always open to new results.
