Moody LeVert, Moody G, Moody Trismegistus… Whatever the alias, he has become a steward for the renaissance of Hip-Hop music, defining himself as “an enigma doing gods work through song”. Blessed as a wordsmith, Moody took his first dive into the art-form writing poetry in Middle School, which soon grew to him scribbling ABC raps to impress his friends. Influenced by his environment, navigating the streets as a young ghetto boy in his teen years, all the while being exposed to different cultures in the melting pot that is South FL; Moody has been able to weave these experiences into a unique style that now holds no area code. Diverse and dynamic in his delivery, his sound is the result of weed induced ventures into the psyche. One that is constantly expanding, observing, yet leaning into his purpose. “The ultimate motive is to capture lightning in a bottle with this rap shit.
