Mock formed in Pekanbaru, Riau in May 17, 2017. Their name is taken from one of The Story So Far’s song “Mock”. The band consisted of Afif Athari on guitar and vocals, Ferdy Syaflansein on guitar, Muhammad Bobby Febrio on bass, Muhammad Fadly on drum. Mock’s music was grealty influenced by several poppunk/emo bands such as Movements, Basement, Title Fight, Citizen, The Story So Far, etc.
