Eventually, morphing from more jazz influences, "keybumps" took shape with more organic textures, still involving synthesis. As a producers project, the instrumentation varies by influence (and collaborators) from the UK jazz scene, Australian indie scene, and American synth scene. The "keybumps" name comes from bumpin' the keys. Started in Australia in 2018, a performance was given at Howl and Moan Records, soon to be followed up by a feature with P.A.F.F at Falls Festival in Byron Bay 2018-2019. Since its inception, the project has morphed into a groovy electro-jazz set that can be organic or electronic. "keybumps" is a sonic exploration into meshing synthesis, drums, guitars, and bass into an all-in-one sound that utilizes looping and effects to build an experience and tell a story.
