Phrixus, aka The Bootylord, is a DJ and producer based in London. His music is a hyperactive collision of abstract sound design, rap beats, club music, soundscape, and everything in between. His emphasis on crafting high fidelity, low end focused music has led him to receive airplay on Radio 1, 1Xtra, NTS, Rinse and more, whilst the captivating and wholly unique approach to controllerism he deploys when playing live has wowed crowds across the UK, Europe and the US. Phrixus regards his artistry as a constant journey - a never-ending state of flux that he has been in since he began producing. As he listens, learns and absorbs, so in turn his musical style and approach mutates. As a result, he has an intensely eclectic back catalogue of sounds, ranging from no-nonsense club music to cerebral and abstract soundscapes. A common trope holds true however across his nebulous output - integrity, and a wish to be as true to himself as possible.
