Toronto born, Canadian based rapper/producer DIE-REK released a self produced compilation entitled “The Die-Version Project” (2011), his most well known release to date which received him recognition by industry mogul "Schott Free" (LOUD Records, Wu-Tang, Mobb Deep, Roc Marciano), intrigued by the composition and wordplay of DIE-REK's single "Remember", DIE-REK landed steady rotation on Schott Free's Radio show "Frozen Files". In 2012 Die-Rek’s live energetic performance at the SXSW festival caught the attention of A&R’s and immediately after performing Die-Rek was approached by independent record label Fatbeats Records. Die-Rek landed distribution and went on to release his first EP with Fat Beats records in 2013 entitled "Life is Butta Breath". In 2016 Die-Rek produced his first Billboard hit record entitled “Hypostatic Union” released by Lampmode Recording artist Shai Linne, Die-Rek went on to produce 4 records for his album which peaked to #4 on the charts. Rising in an industry that thrives on repetition, DIE-REK continues to push boundaries and grow with every release. DIE-REK released his debut album “The Dying Ones” on newly signed label ILLECT Recordings. In recent DIE-REK has been featured in publications such as EARMILK magazine, Chuck D’s “AndYouDon'tStop”, and DJ Premier’s “Live From Headcourterz” to name a few. Early Summer June 2022, DIE-REK is set to release his follow up album “Year of Redemption” on ILLECT Recordings .
