G MiMs is a Hip-Hop artist hailing from Harlem New York and the son of ‘The Koolest Legend’ and Hip Hop Pioneer, Kool Dj Red Alert. He grew up engulfed in Hip-Hop music and quickly developed an adore for rhythm, melody & rhyme by the age 12. While focusing his childhood years playing basketball and using basketball to create opportunities for school/college, G MiMs was developing a raw ear for music, a versatile flow, and a well-crafted writing ability. Bryan Hann (The Source Magazine) says, “G MiMs immersion into the roots of Hip-Hop go much further than his pops, DJ Red Alert. It's clear that he's taken notes on the game from some of the greats before him and he's ready to blaze new paths for those to follow behind him. Don't sleep." 
 During and after College, Mims performed at rap competitions, local events, showcases, as well as some of the hottest stages in NYC like SOB’s, BB Kings and Brooklyn Bowl while simultaneously tackling major radio stations like Hot 97, Power 105, WBLS, & Kiss FM. 
 G Mims has released a series mixtapes, one of which entitled “Up in Smoke” hosted by the legendary, DJ Funkmaster Flex. G MiMs also has an explosive freestyle for Flex on Hot 97. He was featured on Shade 45‘s ‘Sway in The Morning’ and is a model and influencer for several brands, including AT&T who has his billboards and ads throughout NYC. He’s currently promoting his single “Big Bag” while working on a new EP.
